Happy OAUSD to all u guys who started uni today!! Jus, Kim, Tze Zheong etc etc =D How was it?? Better blog about ittt okayy xD
so my oausd was pretty ok! quite nice lah i guess. well i only have 2 classes today which start at 10 so hehe LUCKILY i asked yen the night before to wake me up at 8.30 in case i couldnt get up. Heh. SO yesh i was only a LEETLE bit late for the first tutorial due to the fact that i got kinda lost. There're about 18 ppl in one tutorial? which was microecons today. Didn't do much, just intro-ed ourselves and stuff. Our tutor is really nice though! Some young ang moh woman.
My tutorial class has 3 msiang girls, 1 indian i think, 1 asian girl dunno where from, 1 Chinese Born Aussie guy, and like abt half are ang mohs. My table had me, Tori (ang moh girl), these 2 ang moh guys and the CBA guy. Well the ang moh guys were interested in Tori i think cause she was from like Sydney and water skis, surfs and play water polo. Haha wow man!! thats the sorta by the beach life i always dreamed of! hahahah. And she's really nice too lah, great first impression.. should learn from her. lol so yeahh it was okayy we chatted abit and all. Hahah one ang moh guy was NOT BAD.
So anyway after the class i had a 3 hour break so i went back. When i left the class one msian girl called Adrienne started talking to me and turns out she lives in 313 at collegesquare and im 315! quite nice and friendly and all hahha she studied a levels at taylor subang.
but highlight of the day was my breadth subject lecture!! Philosophy 101:The Great Thinkers. Hahha oh mann! i chose it just so i could call myself a great thinkerbut i just realised the subject is gonna be quiiiiteee hard, like very subjective, need to read DEEP stuff and think alot. and its all about how u present ur view etc etc. YIKES. Met these 2 Aussie guys there, Liam and Andrew, they were like is this the philosophy 101? Awesomee.. Liam is only in high school but he's doing it for like a university extra course cause he loves philosophy. HOMGG he is SO SMART man, he knows so much abt philosophy and like socialism and stuff. I was so out of my league man. But philosophy seems interesting n thought provoking so i think itll be cool. After that, went to get the textbook and had tea cause it was kind of awkward to just like ok nice to meet u and see you around yknoww?? hahah so we ate and yen came too. He's super interesting and nice to talk to, he can talk about video games to marx communism stuff! GEEZ. i wanna be like that too man. hahhaha. n he's still 17 turning 18 this year.. when I was 17, i wasnt even 1/4 like him man in terms of outgoingness, confidence etc hahaha.
Sry the post is a bit disjointed and all i was sorta sleepy while writing it. But yeap basically sums up my first day at uni!! eye-opening experience.. diff ppl.. lots more ang mohs.. good lecturers.. stimulating philosophical reads and all. hahha. yep! kk off to google karl marx and authoritative socialism or stg... hahha. omg man.
blog ppl blog!! grrr. xD love u all =] oh yeah!! i forgot to talk about my sydney trip!! It was so tiring!! and stressful!! I can't believe how much stuff yen and i accumualated in just a year man!! OK, so after being in melbourne for a few days with my dad, after he left, we went back to sydney to colelct the stuff we left there : pots, plates, clothes, shoes, sleeping bags, slow cooker, stationery, random bits of miscellaneous junk. granted they were all x 2 cause we lived separately but OHMYGOODNESS, headache to pack them all!! we were frantically stuffing stuff into suitcases and in the end had to sell off alot of stuff to esm, kevin and jayanand for freaking 50 bucks man!! highway robbery. but we were desperate =(
So! Sydney wasa whirlwind of packing and meeting with as many different cliques of friends as we could.. hahah we arrived on thurs night (25/2) and went straight to UniLodge to get the key to Tiff's sister's place where we stayed. So we chatted with Tiff a while that night then went to the sister's place about 12 stg. her sister aint back from Sg yett.
So next morning bright and early Yen and I went with our cousin Suyiin's bro to the mall to change our phone accounts to our names.
Then we went by bus ALLLL the way to Newtown to have this SUPER GOOD bfast with yiin and justina. had coffee too, world famous!!
Then abt 1 stg we went back to yiin's place and started unpacking and repacking. A pipe leaked into her place, so some of our stuff were moldy =( and it was so heartbreaking to have to give/throw away some stuff we couldnt take back with us! suc ha waste of money man.. i was so depressed. Teach us a lesson for hoarding so much stuff.. never again!! Valuable lesson we learnt the hard way guys = only buy necessities. BARE necessities. hahah you don't really NEED that little basket to hold ur toiletries in!! hahaha.
SO we packed til abt 5 and had to rush off halfway cause we wanted to meet up with the indo gang at Davin's open house bbq. and these INDOS. they described davin's new house as jsut walk along rainbow st! so we walked, and walked and walked and walked. homg mann!! SO FAR! then we got there at LONG LAST, but could only stay ther e for like 1/2 an hour cause we had dinner plans in the city with tiffany, charins, shawny, daniel and darson..
We were a bit late for dinner but it was still really nice man.. veli easy to fall back in with our sydney friends =] nice and familiar haha.
AFTER dinner, we dropped by esm's, kev's and jayanand's place to hang out with them abit.. their place is pretty nice!! Hahahha apparently partying every night and all. And they are surprisingly NEAT FREAKS for guys!! non stop cleaning and vacuuming HAHAH. puts us to shame man. dont tell them i said this OKAY.
so we finallyyy left esm's place at like 12 stg.. caught up alot and all =] and went back with tiff to her sis's place. and then she had these 2 friends over and we chatted for abt 2 hours. so at the end of the SUPER LONG DAY, we showered and ko-ed at 4 stg.. ahaha. phew mann.
Next day up at 9 again and finished packing, had lunch with the wms ppl and gave them the stuff they bought and dragged our bags down to the car park to go to d airport. oh and did i mention that yiin's lift is SPOILT?? so all this was down trekking up and down 9 flights of staiirs!! never again. My glutimeus maximus is still aching. hahahah. But yiin's bro helped drag down alot, thank u jian yung kor kor!! and a big THANK YOU to tiff and justina for trekking everywhere with us including up and down the stairs!! love u guys mann.. miss u > <
So sydney was extremely tiring but so worth it!! it was so great meeting everyone again after so long.. suddenly got hit by a wave of reminiscence for sydney and the ppls. hahah. =( well the good thing is we are all in the same region.. msia, sg, indo and hongkong heheh. =] can fly up and down. So anyways yes!! this was basically a catatan ( whoa can rmb my malay man! lol) blog post of what i've been doing... havent hear from u guys in a while though! hope u guys are still good. =D

Sooo i is thinking since we are all scattered all over ONCE AGAIN, that it is time to revive our ole faithful bloggie. Hahah. So!! Thus is the start of a new schooling year and monday blues, however, due to strategic and ingenius timetable arranging on our parts yen and I won't really have monday blues ohohoohoho. the commerce timetable is lovely!! Hahhaha.
So yesh, tis is the time of study again, and for some of us stressing over where and what to study for uni (eh, donks? =] ) good luck to everyone!! am already looking forward to june.. where it MIGHT be the last time any of us sees leng lei in the flesh before she is sent to MINIMUM THREE YEARS over in the UK and not allowed to return for hols!! Guys, appreciate her as much as you can stand to. Hahha. I haven't written anything remotely journalistic for SO LONG my writing flair ( if i had one) is kinda rusty. Heheh. Even my handwriting is pok ( singaporean slang we picked up from Sydney =3 )
MELBOURNE. now i get what they mean by the land of the crazy weather mood swings. crazy indeed! and the useless google forecast doesnt help whatsoever! Anyway, our apartment is pretty cozy. Just right to be comfortable and easily maintained which is sorta subjective as having to clean our one toilet is one toilet too many already. Lol. whoda thunk 2 neat ppl could create such a mess in such a short time!? thank goodness we only have one toilet. Hahha. I'll bug yen to post pictures of our apartment cause she's d one who took pictures.
Well, yest we met up with tze zheong, sze earn, yi siang and jus!! twas v v good to catch up!! I was sorta craving proper friends after a couple of days of meeting new ppl. So in this way melbourne is sorta good cause you literally bump into 3 old friends just walking into uni hahah. And i realised from orientation that ang moh's seriously don't like to mingle with asians and asians end up hanging out together. I'm not saying i don't wanna meet asians but what kinda stereotyping is this haha. Though i have to say i'm not adverse to it.. kinda more eager to meet other nationalities. it's only natural right? But then again with other nationalities it's hard to communicate and in the end u turn back to msians/sporeans to bond with ahhaha. it is a vicious cycle indeed.
So far i've met two chinese born aussie girls and two china girls who i've hung out with a little more than others. the china girls are nicer actually so there goes the stereotype huh? I guess next week will be more interesting cause classes actually start. Will post more observations then =] =] It's really cool though cause TZ lives down the road ( like REALLY FAR DOWN though) from us and so does justin and sze earn and andrew and yi siang is the next road.
Had my first mini lecture introducing the whole commerce course to like econs, finance and accounting. econs was the most interesting with finance second.. accounting didn't really describe it much. And well, i found it OKAY. like doable and interesting at some parts. =/ haha just sayin.
We're going to sydney tml night to collect our stuff there like clothes and pots etc etc. Haha and hopefully sell off the bigger stuff!! ughh so ma fannn man.. and a pipe burst in my cousin's apartment where we were storing our stuff SO our clothes might not be recognisable =(( hahaha.
We currently have no pots. And tonight we were craving soba noodles. HEHHE. BUT NO POT TO BOIL THE NOODLES. so we INNOVATIVELY boiled water and SOAKED our noodles hahah! it was really sad. and pathetic. but it WORKED. we had our noodles and watched glee! hahahha. took a video =P MAY post it one day. oh the sad student life~~ ( i say this sitting in our fully furnished heated apartment, with HOT WATER, and most of our neccessities like lights and all bought and driven from ikea tgt with my dad) hehehe. Thanks dad!

OMG people!! We have been abandoning this blog for months!! Its almost dead now. Hehe. I just wanna tell u guys that i hv arrived melbourne already. I'm sorry if i didnt tell most of u people. =P wanna keep it loww... HAHA!! nola. its juz most of u will be here so eventually we'll meet here. Just like how i met spring, v vien, sze earn, justin, sara n zhiyen. It kinda feels like melb is awfully smalll.. haha!
I have been here for more than a week already. I'm pretty lucky cause i have my own house here n everything is done for me. I dun need to worry about getting an apartment or buying furniture n stuff like dat. I have my elder sis to tell me wat to do n teaching me to do some stuff. Until now, everything seems to be fine. I cant wait for uni to start cause i m feeling so bored..... There's nth much to do now. Have been reading story books, watching this freak science show called Fringe, facebooking, rotting.... So, my orientation starts tmr. My sis will teach me how to take the tram to my uni. I think it shouldnt be a problem. Hopefully i will have more things to do then.
Anyway, my mother's friend who lives in australia brought us to a beach last week. It was quite pretty there. But the thing is we didnt manage to stay long at the human beach, we passed by a dog beach n stopped at the dock where we chatted with this old man who was fishing. Kinda funny huh? that they actually have a beach meant for dogs.. There were many dogs there. All happily playing in the water with their owners.

The weather at the beach was VERY VERY hot. I wore a sleeveless shirt n shorts n i came back with sunburns on my arm n around my neck. Terrible. I'll never go to a beach without sunscreen anymore. Afterthat, we drove to the human beach. They have these little huts called bath here. They put their stuff in these bath. These little huts are considered special, like the one of the attraction on the beach. Apparently, these huts are very expensive and the govt wouldnt allow anyone to build anymore on the beach.

It was quite annoying to walk on the beach when all the sand are getting into your shoes. So, i tried to walk without my shoes on. I kinda regretted doing that! The sand was sooooo hot! i dun understand how these ppl can walk on the sand like they cant feel anything. After a few minutes i wore back my shoes. Quite stupid of me to not wear slippers to a beach.
Ok! That's about it ppl! i have managed to burn off some time while writing this post! =] Shall go n get ready for dinner later! See ya ppl!
Oh! i forgot to tell u guys that i might be using the name clare/claire? i havent decided which one yet. Since Tze Zheong will be absolutely difficult for anyone to rmb here. Hence, an english name that i took months to decide will be used in melb. =D Dun laugh at me ok? hehe.

Im here to tell everyone that Sara and Zyen are back.. haha...=p Nice to see you two again after the eight months of Aussie life, i bet you all must have missed Malaysian food a lot right? can see that from Sara's face when she said how much she missed seeing hawkers frying "char keoy theow" and how much Zyen enjoyed the.....er.... " what lala" again...i forgot the name, sorry ... =( haha..
Neways, LengLei Zyen Sara Yinling and I went bouldering at Wangsa Maju yesterday and we had a great time there. lol....And yea...that's what i've expected after the bouldering thing, i got very serious muscle ache today, and this is the worst among all those I've ever had..hmm... i think i shall do exercise more often from now on ... haha...Anyway, it was my first time to boulder.. So... Lenglei ! stop laughing at me when i fell down so clumsy-ly.. haha.. but the most hilarious part was... when i was about to fall that time, lenglei ran to me and wanted to help out...but she actually tripped over her own leg and fell down...hahaha....so Farney..! Oh , and also we took a few pictures when we were bouldering... but all the pictures are still in my hp, I couldn't find my cable so i guess the photos will be uploaded when it suddenly appears again..=) and also my laptop bluetooth not working =(
oh yea... Jus is leaving for Aust on 5th Dec.. so, people!!! lets meet up since we haven't seen each other for some time already... haha... Mayb we can go for karaoke like we planned when we were in f5 , Jus.. =D alright... so....hope to see y'all soon!

Anyways I just came back from Bangkok on Tuesday night. I went there for a debate competition! :D it was the Asians British Parliamentary Debate Championship and I'm proud to say that out of 92 teams, I was one of the 32 teams to make it to the octofinals and it's a big deal okay cos it's an international tourney with 57 unis, from 9 diff Asian nations! So *applause*
Anyhoo, it was a great competition and I enjoyed myself a whole lot though there was very little shopping involved. I only shopped for one day :( But it's okay, my debate achievement compensated for it. Teehee! :D
I went for the Zara sale @ Atria today and it was disappointing for there were nice stuff but a super long queue and I had to go back to college for classes so I left empty handed + a broken heart. :(

FREE WILL IS AN ILLUSION. the sweet irony is that we "practice" free will freely according to the laws of physics and the land! If it's not that, the consequences of our actions often refrain us from doing as we wish. but then there are consequences for ALL OF OUR ACTIONS, and just because we are afraid of the punishment/outcome, do we dismiss that free will does not exist?
Sure, we can choose freely to jump off a cliff in hopes of flying but we won't. That's because we are fully aware that it would lead to a certain death. So what? Do we then freely choose to jump off a cliff, and then freely choose to skip the grim reaper? that's just plain absurd. The world would be in utter chaos.
Then again, there are things that we simply cannot do! We cannot freely choose to defy the laws of gravity literally (airplanes and helicopters not included). So a person's free will is limited to what he can potentially do (given that he is not afraid of punishment) perhaps? And what he can potentially do is governed by the Law of Physics. Hence, this implicates that a person's free will is governed by the Law of Physics. Oh, the comedy of life! Even free will doesn't have a free will haha!
I too agree that a person's life to relative to all that is around him. What would be good, if you can't see what's bad? When some people say, "Imagine what life would be like without electricity?". we'd obviously be thinking of candles and lamps. But WHY? Maybe a civilization without electricity could be operating on an advance form of kinetic energy, or probably something i cannot possibly imagine. Maybe they could be living a better life than us. Of course, it could be worse to, we'd never know.
People judge life as they see it. They think that this life is the only way it could ever turn out. If Hitler was never born, how sure are you that the world would be better than it is? You don't. And you never will. We shouldn't compare our Life and world to imaginations and what-ifs. Instead, we should compare it to reality. One of the main reasons why countries should constantly have relations with others is so that we can compare to each other. If a country closed all ties and connection to the rest of the world, it wouldnt even know if it was oppressed or exploited (eg North Korea). They'd think their lack of freedom is the best thing they have got because they havent seen real freedom. I say "real freedom" in the context of this world btw.
It the same with Earth. While we've been comparing to other countries and not with other galactic communities, it's no doubt that some ideas are already so fixed and solid that stating anything out of the norm would imply insanity. Afterall, sanity IS statistical. Thankfully, truth isn't. That's why, i'm against world government. Yea sure, it could avoid wars and inequality, although i'm skeptical that it would, but we could also be oppressed and brainwashed and we wouldn't know it! Then again, if we were, i wouldn't know what i'm missing out haha.
OH WAIT. HOMG, I COULD BE BRAINWASHED ALREADY. gasp. haha.
Anyways, i believe that life's purpose is to be happy. i mean, i don't fear death. i fear pain more lol. Death can end suffering, worrying and pain that Life gives. We wouldn't need to worry about unpaid bills, exams and driving tests. We'd be ultimately free (that is if you don't believe in afterlife which i don't). So why then, avoid Death? All this seems like we should embrace it. Because while Life gives pain and suffering, it also gives happiness and joy. Without good, there cannot be evil. Without suffering and pain, happiness and joy would have no value. That's what Life gives and Death takes it all. IMHO, Life should be lived happily!

okay so after rougly a six (seven?) month long hiatus (that sorry excuse for a post in which i promised that i'd blog soon after my sats doesnt count), i am FINALLY back here blogging :) it seems i am uhhh. quite undisciplined with this thing sadly heheh. thankfully there have been some very noble efforts to keep this blog breathing mostly by sara and lenglei and more recently kayhwa, because if it were just ME blogging here, i think we can NEVER reach a respectable profit with nuffnang (hahhahahha, what is it now lenglei? have we doubled our profit? is it up to a dollar now? :) maybe soon we can buy a... a... newspaper or sthg. whoopeeeeee. T_T) but hahaha i guess i shouldnt complain. it's kinda my fault as a super lazy blogger with a veryyyy high tendency to procrastinate that our blog profit generating scheme is in such a sad state anyway :)

its weird, i've never actually done a dedication post to anyone before, which i guess isnt very surprising, given my non existent, pathetically unprolific (check THAT out, sat word ahhahaha) blogging career and mojo! it might be surprising to you guys that i actually DO get struck by inspiration and think of a really good idea for a post, and start crafting out in my head. but being the extreme slob that i am, that post never actually makes it onto the blog heheheh. but anyways, now that i have quite alot of time on my hands since my exams are over, and my awesome friend winnie is leaving soon, i think that if there was ever a time to break my post dedication virginity, IT IS NOW. before this post too disappears into the dark depths of the very cluttered space that is my mind right now. but i digress dont i :)
THIS, everybody, is my friend winnie wang yi wen :) she was the first person i approached in my class (with the exception of ismail, but that was different because he was introduced to me, and he talked so much and so fast that after 10 minutes of talking, i felt like i'd alrdy known him for half my life == hahahhaa)

but anyways it was sort of by coincidence that i talked to winnie first; she happened to be the person standing nearest to me when i arrived (late) to my IT session on the second day of orientation, after rushing to the foundation building in the HEAT. so i was abit flustered, and since the class before us hadnt come out yet (i suppose this makes me early instead of late :P) we were just standing ard and doing the sizing-each-other-up-with-discreet-sideways-glances thing that is so synonymous with orientation sessions. i remember thinking heyyyy this girl looks friendly, i'll talk to her! and so i did.

is it me or do i hear an echo of an empty blog right back at me?? hahha! i DO hear an empty blog!! loll. im still the most recent post mann. but i know u guys have exams coming up toooo. SAM got finals like us and A levels got trials righttt? BEST OF LUCK GUYSS. let us NERDD!!!
hahha i've fallen into quite a comfortable NERD routine man. its kinda nice actually.. its like i seriously waste ZERO time cause exams are in 3 weeks i have NO MORE TIME LEFT. DEADEDD. haha so its like every available opp im packing it with stuff to do and studyyyingg. like im squeezing everything in. for example last fri i woke up early, skipped my morning classes ( stupid chem lousy teacher and stupidd enggg) hahha waste time. so i nerded at home then went for classes at 11 stg and finished skl at 3 n played bball at moore park til abt 7 with the EXTENDED INDO GANG ( i tell u these indos i dunno WHY their indo family is SO HUGE everytime i go out with them its like they can produce 3-4 new ppl i dunno from all over like uni, sydney U, etc etc ahhaha) so yesh! whee bball!! supah fun and weather was LOVELAYY. now i have a blister. then i went for dance class at 7.20 and then joined yen in the library n studied til 10 came home and last min thing had hot pot with charins and some hongkees in unilodge... then went back and studied n prepared pre-lab work for 4 hours of chem lab on sat. PHEWW. hahha so that was FRIDAY. ahhah!
so yeap!! quite nice to be busy!! but still cant wait for exams to be OVERR and its MSIAA time!! =D =D anyway my new favourite place is the LIBRARY. its got 10 floors n u can pick any floor to study on. and they have these cute booths n window cubicles to study at. and SO PEACEFUL, quiet, CONDUCIVE STUDY ENV man!! love ittt. woke up at 6 today and studied at home til ten ( when the library opens on sun) then wen to the library with melissa, yen, suyiin, and winnie til 6 pm. haha and next week end is "study period" so library opens til 12 midnight!! yay!! hahah. but somehow i dont feel like i got a lot of work done.. stupid phys. so hard. hahha oh wells. will take a pic of the library next time i go! to show u guys. im sure u would all lurve it toooo.
the disgusting thing about this foundation course is that they finish teaching the syllabus ONE WEEK before finals and dont give us study break. like WHAT THe?? stupidd. so im creating my own study breaks by skipping useless classes. hahha. =] hope my attendence doesnt die though. heh.

hey guys!! been mia for SUPAH longgg. well i just had one week of hols.. left sunday and monday public hol then its BACK to skll. SIGHH. but omg i just realised that in 7 weeks i'll be HOME!!! its like 4 weeks of hell-ish studying+projects, 2 weeks of exams, 1 week pack up+go out with friends then its ON BOARD THE PLANEE on 27th nov! my mum's bday hohoho. can't wait guys!! but the first 6 weeks will be like.... =(
my dad just left todayy. he came to visit for a week. and it was super relaxed!! super chill hahha, took lots of pics, ate all sorts of oriental food ONLY. korean jap thai vietnamese chinese u name it we ate it.. hahhaha. all diff shops everytime hahaha. it was AWESOME. but oh dear now its BACk to the gym + eating less ( we shall not call it dieting hahahaa) i hv 7 weeks to look the same way i did before lest u guys cant recognise me haha. i dunno why everyone comes here and becoems weight conscious though! i would NEVER have imagined me being weight conscious. :O i dunno why i didnt put on weight in msia. hmmmmmm. i ate about the same amount! i think. stupid sydney.
oh yes. stupid sydney! its like spring now. and sometiems the temperature reaches like 29 degrees SUPER sunny and hot!! LOVE ITT. but then suddenly the past few days have been gloomy and today it RAINED SO HARDDD. on yen's bday!! grrrr. but we braved the rain to go out n celebrate and all. goshh so miserable waiting for the bus and SOMEONE has stolen my umbrella. i suspect roger next door heh. i shall interrogate him later. its a super cool umbrella that opens itself when u press a button. ahhah! how glam is that man.
so yeahhh celebrated yen's bday today at pancakes on the rocks.. cause she loves ittt. hehee. and gave her jeans and the card i spent like quite long making... heheh. its a collagish sorta thing that i had the mood to do.. so since my dad was here i decided this hols will be like TOTALLY unproductive for me and i will FOCUS starting tmll. so yupp i spent many nights doing the card hahah. but i hope its worth it!! =D

hahaha I took my SATs in may this year. I got 1990. Not bad for first attempt. But it sucks coz I can't retake. I don't have the time with A levels keeping me so stressed out. Taking SAT2 in Dec. and my essay.. only got an 8/12. Let me give you a piece of advice. Ditch the stupid internet crap online that tells you to write a simple essay with 4 or 5 line in one paragraph etc. Coz I did that just coz I read about it one day before the test. And hell.. I knew I could have done better. Yet, 20 minutes for an essay?? or was it half an hour I don't remember.. =P seriously such a short period of time.. ><" once you're stuck you're basically screwed =//
So.. in conclusion. Practice writing FAST. but not too UGLY! haha yeah I have a problem with ugly handwriting I know.. =p
Oh oh! you can also bring food and drinks into the room. I brought livita and red bull in. I reckon it works. HAHAHA. so you don't feel so sleepy in the morning.
And unis.. okay. I'm applying to Law for UK technically. US.. ugh yet to make a decision but they are freaking expensive man. application fee for USF $55. that's not even a top of the line uni. omg imagine applying for 4 or 5 different unis. I can see all our parent's wallets disintegrate into nothing.
Ahh Leng-Lei.. I think the truth is. It will sound a tad fake. I could send you a copy of my ORIGINAL personal statement and compare it with my final one. Ah I typed something out here but decided not to. Who knows if UK unis will google you and see what you say bout them =p

( i just wrote us then changed it to CAPS cause then u might think i think ur thinking of us as in us which obviously is not what im talking about but that would be nice too =D heheh!) anyways. i tihnk u'd do amazingly cause ur entire post sounds like a freaking model essay man!! seriously. like the way u throw out examples and challenge everything and dissect everything right down to the very core. and like developing ur arguments and point of view and showing that ur THINKING and love to learn and all that. hahah. ok i sound like a textbook. but sorry that's all there is in my mind right now cause im sorta stressing over that part. my essay writing is ABYSSMAL. i have no SUBSTANCE in my writing, unlike u donks. haha i think my general knowledge is pathetic. sighs. hence i cant write a hardhitting essay especially in the tiny period of time they allot us. bah. i was so impressed by all ur knowledge donks!! hahah. i think u are TOTALLY suited for US.

so yea... i've ditched Architecture. although everyone is saying i should go with it. but you know what? i don't think im cut out for it. I can draw sure, anybody can. but honestly, i feel that i lack creativity. i cant produce new ideas or express them. i find myself stuck with a blank piece of paper dying to find references.
so right now, im applying to do Accounting & Finance in UK.

College life is still pretty relaxed for me, mainly because i never do my homework. So i go home wondering why i'm so free, only to find out the next day that i haven't done my homework. But it's all cool.. because the lecturers don't care!! i do feel guilty.. for a split second and i'm carefree all over again... and then there's bouldering. which i'm kinda addicted to. bah. It has been forever since my last post. Has it not? =p everybody seems to be posting bout college life and such. And I'll tell you. I have absolutely no mood to study right now. my trials started today. Maths and Thinking Skills. Yeah yeah I know what you're thinking. Who the hell needs to learn how to think?!?! Well fine.. it's a stupid subject but it's interesting sometimes. Though I wish our 'I'm-so-smart-but-actually-I-suck' Thinking Skills teacher would stop pretending like she's God and we're idiots or something. Sorry for the rant and for dissing her. I really really hope she ain't reading this.
And Unis. sigh. sigh, sighhhhhhhhh and a longer SIGH!! hahaha. Important decisions in life are so hard to make. I am so torn between the US and the UK it's not funny. =( I've finished with my UCAS application. All I need to do is pick the unis to go with. On the other hand the US education system seems so much more interesting. Shan't bore you with details here. =p
I'll be frank. I like studying. Not plain memorising like SPM style, but studying in general. I love knowledge. I like asking WHY to the max (in my brain) until there is no more why. Till the brink people say 'Why not?' and I want to know why people say 'why not'. I mean, there is a reason for that 'Why not' is there not? But then from a philosophical point of view.. I read this somewhere in our campus library.. a philosophy book btw =D If someone asks you.. 'Is the glass half empty or half full?'.

Well, in truth you're both just agreeing with each other because the answers will meet halfway through anyways. Just because the answer is different does not mean you disagree. Read things I've never imagined before. Do things I've never even heard of in my life. Things my parents would never want to hear about lest they get a heart attack. Life is so much more. And I feel stuck here. Like a bird in a cage. Unlike Jane Eyre though, I want to fly. She can let her passions be caged up all she likes and never get together with Rochester. I don't care. So different from Jane Eyre who claims if Rochester(love of her life) dies, she would not die with him coz she intends to live a full life. So practical for a 'fairy-tale' novel.

And Unis. sigh. sigh, sighhhhhhhhh and a longer SIGH!! hahaha. Important decisions in life are so hard to make. I am so torn between the US and the UK it's not funny. =( I've finished with my UCAS application. All I need to do is pick the unis to go with. On the other hand the US education system seems so much more interesting. Shan't bore you with details here. =p
I'll be frank. I like studying. Not plain memorising like SPM style, but studying in general. I love knowledge. I like asking WHY to the max (in my brain) until there is no more why. Till the brink people say 'Why not?' and I want to know why people say 'why not'. I mean, there is a reason for that 'Why not' is there not? But then from a philosophical point of view.. I read this somewhere in our campus library.. a philosophy book btw =D If someone asks you.. 'Is the glass half empty or half full?'.

Well, in truth you're both just agreeing with each other because the answers will meet halfway through anyways. Just because the answer is different does not mean you disagree. Hellooo people!!! How's life? College life is getting bad now.. I hv trials in like 2 weeks? and this week i m having tests EVERYDAY! omg... kill mee!! I hate accounts!! Well, most of my close college friends noe how much i HATE accounts. Seriously, i shouldnt hv listened to my mum... =( she said accounts very easy lah.. bla bla bla... Damn... maybe i shud hv taken psychology!! Haha! I see u guys are getting ready to apply for unis too?? Haha! i think i hv decieded to take law. Melb Monash would be my first pririoty and IF (touch wood) i cannot get into monash then i'll hv to take commerce in melb u. I duno if it's possible to get 96 for monash.. The marks is insanee!! 96!! i m so not a genius okayy... Whoopss... sounds like i m complaining a lot! Haha
So, i shall clarify more on MonCheriex to lumin then... Uhh.. Mon Cheriex is like a blogshop selling clothes... Its not a brand name!! Just our blogshop name. And!! Just some updates on me in college. Last friday, our college has merdeka celebration. I thought we r already over all these kinda stuff u noe? They call it cultural day i think.. So, everybody should wear traditional clothes. So... i wore ceongsam lor... wat else.. i dun think i wanna buy a new traditional clothes juz for one day. There will pics... Can see more on facebook larh.
Its weird to walk in traditional clothes when u need to walk out of yr college u noe?? Especially u r sooooo red... During lunch time we went to hartamas shopping centre, i feel the stares... Scary.. i m so not used to the attention. I went to the toilet and there is this angmoh tat looked at me from head to toe.. I m so not wearing a ceongsam unless there is an important occasion. And, its not easy to walk in ceongsam.. Ahh... the slits killed me that day. Cannot sit,walk or even lean on a chair properly... Anywayz, our merdeka celebration was much better than wms. They prepared a short vid clip. It was quite funny!! haha!! There werent a lot of speeches and singing songs like Wms. So, it was soo much bearable. Haha...

Hi guys!! im back after like AGESSS. hahaha. and what's the first thing i see?? ESMONDE YAP BLOGGING!! HAHAH. omgg did a golden pig just fly past?? hahah will wonders never cease!! i've never seen you write for fun before, esm! lol. i leave for 5 months and look at all the changes! hahaha i should get back quick n prevent any further drastic changes. pfft. hahhaa hmmm comments? not bad for a first post lah! pretty long. beat leng lei flat! So its like 1.00 pm here and guess what. i've actually FINISHED ALL MY WORK. ok so maybe it was kinda a sloppy finish but like i cant do the rest!! and annoyingly i dont have enough like reference books to practise on. stupid skl give such little material. ugh. soooo what to do for the rest of the day! hahah. i love this man. i've taken to sleeping early and waking up early to do my work in the morning sunshine cause it shines direectly into my room. =D sounds good eh? first i do every morning is pull up ALL my curtains. hehe. i cant work well at night here cause my legs freaking freeze next to the window. WELLS.
am thinking of baking cornflake cookies later... margarine expired HEH. dont tell my friends. hahhaha. it is a constant battle to keep track of what is expiring and what is rotting at the back of the fridge ok! not easy. loll. ANDD im thinking of maybe using my free trial to try the boxing room at the gym nearby. IF the room is ready. they told me it'd be ready like 2 weeks ago. totally cheated my feelings mann. its been 5 months since i've whacked a bagg =((( i tried the bag at the unigym but its some RETARDEDLY heavy-ass bag at LEASt 50 kg. its UNKICKABLE. i looked like a moronn haha. i need to find a light weight bagg n fast!! bahh. stupid ang mohs: JUST cause they're all huge n fat doesnt mean they dont have to cater for us featherweights. haha.
and GUYS. OMG. IM SORRY IF IM LIKE EXTREMELY BLUR OR STG. or did no one explain to me properly?? i didnt know u guys like REALLY CREATED MONCHERIEX!! i thought u guys were just like ambassadors or stg. OMGG!! and u guys MODEL the clothes?? hahha JUS! i love what u were wearinggg. the white-greyish chiffon skirt with the grey hearts tank. eee. i want. which of u guys wanna be a dear n send a free sample over to ur good friend in aus ehh? hahaha. since its practically spring now!! damnn hott. on certain days lah. can wear shorts out adi. whoo!! i miss wearing shorts. hoho.
anyways. back to the topic. OMGG!! so how are ur profits?? did the business take off with flying colours?? i know donks said before she was going to go checkout the warehouse n find fashions.. but.. it just never really hit me. haaha. goshhh. u guys are such ENTREPANEURS however u spell it! when i get bacak u guys need to show me how it all works yeah? x] and are there special discounts for good friends? =P
sooo somehow i feel foundation year is really relaxed?? i mean, after reading esm's horrible academic life story ours seems super lax. hahah. can't help feeling i should be doing more or stg. but there's nothing else to do! im doing all my work and there's such little material to study/practise on! ugh. how to pull up gpa... if esm is gonna be dr esm i think im prob gonna be like "here's my card, call me on this deal." hot-shot executive or stg. haha i hope. im thinking of finance now. i love studying physics and all but i dont think i wanna do that for work.
Btw yest we went to sydney u's open day. and the campus is HUGEE!! and like half the building are olden architecture like very church-y and somehow got the UNI feeling. hahah. all those brickwork and archways and grand staircases. yen will put up pics.. RIGHT YEN. that pig. never blogs! hahaha. as quoted by our friend winnie from taiwan who studied in sg, "I LOVE THIS UNI. GOT THE GOSSIP GIRL UNI FEELING!!" ahhahha!! yes we were like morons walking around the prestigious uni. but they had modern buildings too! which i kinda like. like the fusion kinda thing. old building might get well, OLD fast. hahhaha. pardon the pun xD
but then again there were some aspects of the uni that were a bit rundown. i guess cause its so huge and all. like there were construction sort of fences? and like a bit of construction sorta sites and then suddenly ur at the main road. and a bit dirty lahh not like UNSW. but thats the olden feeling i guess. sydney uni is really OPEN with tons of wide spaces. whereas unsw is really compact but clean. dunno whether we're being biased or because it was open day but sydney u seemed to have a bit more life. hahha. they have a GRAFFITI tunnel. quite eerie actually.
Well im still trying sat. just for kicks. like a THISTLE i am.. blown about in the wind of life~~ hahaha start learning ARTISTIC expression esm! good for blogging! lolll. kidding. and i have my debit mastercard adi HOHOOH. moncheriex here i come!! haha. but how u gonna send it to me. damn. xD

never knew/ forgotten that i had a blog !!! until i read gopal's blog. not bad he inspired me to write/ post something here. so im just gonna update anyone of u who are reading this. haha it might be boring. oh well just read if ur interested.
ok so far the year had been so fun. i mean it is awesome. the moments in college haha totally FUN. i think i've been laughing MOST OF THE TIME in col. This is because i have few classmates who are insanely funny. so we gel together VERY WELL. NON-STOP CRACKING JOKES. sorry to my dear teachers for disrupting ur lessons if i laugh too LOUDLY. haha so college is nice and fun. BUT the programme im studying.. ugh one word for it- SUCKS. every single week, either TEST,EXPERIMENT, REPORTS, PRESENTATIONS. haha and guess what, a week before trials, which is next week, i'm having ALL OF THE ABOVE mentioned !!!! NUTS. nvm last week of hell. maths test, bio and chem experiements and reports, and physics presentation. GOSH haha. UGH haha.
OK what else to write. hmm oh if ur wondering whether im still swimming, which ppl usually ask me. i'm taking a break from swimming for now as i have to start preparing for my final examinations which is going to be held somewhere early november. haha which is good, many many months of holidays =) haha. CANT WAIT MANNNN. but for now, its gonna be me, books, pencils, pens, highlighter and my studytable. ohya and hopefully by the time my finals end, i still can FLOAT. haha.
ohya, one more thing. TRY TO IMAGINE CALLING ME DR. ESMONDE =) how does that sound? haha i know it might sound funny but oh well kept thinking what course should i take next year. architecture? aerospace engineering? medicine? dentist? HMMMM. i'll think of it again after november haha NOT NOW. dr.esmonde yap. =)
